My journey
Choosing to build with founders
A move into blockchain, startups and running a software business.
I moved into blockchain because I wanted to work with startups and help turn their ideas into products. There was room to question what software could do and build something to find out.
I went on to run Labrys for multiple years. That meant taking responsibility for the team, our clients and the business behind the software. I enjoyed the responsibility, and the product work remained a big part of the appeal.
Running a business changed how I think about commitments. A promising idea still needs a release the team can support and a plan the business can afford. Being clear about what we will leave out matters as much as agreeing what to build.
It's why I want a roadmap to explain its reasoning. The team should know why this work comes next, what it depends on and what new information would change the plan.
